Aussie culture is much more than beer, barbecues, and hot weather, which is what we get to over media. Where is a place where no two people will experience the same thing, unless they tail each other around?

Listed below are a few things we think you should know before making your permanent move to Australia.

Migrating to Study

If you are moving to Australia to study, you should know that education in Australia is quite expensive. However, there are loans schemes like HECS that will allow you to defer your university fees until you quit or graduate. Once you are employed and your salary is more than a certain amount there will be a deduction for HECS tax which is the repayment of the loan taken. But this option can be availed by a certain category of students only.

Australia is a massive country. It is about the size of Europe put together. It’s fair to say that you need a decent amount of time to explore the entire country. Some of the best cities to settle down are Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra. Of course, you will have to take into consideration several factors before selecting exactly where you are going to settle down in this great big country.

For instance, if you are moving to Townsville to work and live there with your family, there are many benefits. For example, a great education system, dental and healthcare institutes and access to a plethora of roads connecting every corner of Australia, will surely help you build on your decision.

Sorting Out Insurances

A permanent resident of Australia, not required to have a citizenship, will be entitled to Medicare a public health insurance. You may choose to go to a doctor that directly bills to the government, or go to a doctor where you will pay the difference between what the doctor is charging and what the government is willing to reimburse.

Private health insurance costs an average 100 to 250 dollars a month per person on average. If you take cover for a bit of high price treatments like dental, Chiropractor, and some other costly services are covered up to a certain budget annually.
